Participation of tumor suppressors long non-coding RNA MEG3, microRNA-377 and PTEN in glioma cell invasion and migration
ConclusionsThese results suggested the link interaction of MEG3 with miR-377 and PTEN, but not functioning as the competing endogenous RNA. MiR-377 mimics and MEG3 were tumor suppressors in glioma cells through regulating PTEN expression.

Celastrol enhances TRAIL-induced apoptosis in human glioblastoma via the death receptor pathway
ConclusionsTaken together, the results of our study demonstrate that celastrol sensitizes glioma cells to TRAIL via the death receptor pathway and that DR5 plays an important role in the effects of this cotreatment. The results indicate that this cotreatment is a promising tumor-killing therapeutic strategy with high efficacy and low toxicity.

Long non-coding RNA H19 regulates the development of gliomas through the Wnt/ β-catenin signaling pathway.
CONCLUSIONS: H19 was overexpressed in glioma tissues and glioma cell lines. Downregulation of H19 inhibited cell proliferation, invasion, and migration, arrested cell cycle progression in the G0/G1 phase, and induced cell apoptosis by restraining activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in glioma cells. ConclusionsSTIP1 is highly expressed in glioblastoma compared to normal brain tissues. Downregulation of STIP1 in glioma cells reduces cell proliferation rate and invasion and increases cell apoptosis.

Resveratrol and siRNA in combination reduces Hsp27 expression and induces caspase-3 activity in human glioblastoma cells.
This study is the first report showing that resveratrol reduces Hsp27 levels, and siRNA-mediated Hsp27 silencing enhances the therapeutic effects of resveratrol in glioma cells. Auranofin, an Anti-rheumatic Gold Drug, Aggravates the Radiation-Induced Acute Intestinal Injury in Mice
