ConclusionsOur findings highlighted a critical role of FRK in tumor suppression ability through promoting STAT1 activation, and provided a potential therapeutic target for glioma.

Downregulation of AIF-2 Inhibits Proliferation, Migration, and Invasion of Human Glioma Cells via Mitochondrial Dysfunction
In conclusion, we found that AIF-2 plays a key role in promoting cell proliferation, invasion, and migration via regulating AIF-1-related mitochondrial cascades. Downregulation of the candidate oncogene AIF-2 might constitute a strategy to kill human glioma cells.

High Expression of DEPDC1 Promotes Malignant Phenotypes of Breast Cancer Cells and Predicts Poor Prognosis in Patients With Breast Cancer
In this study, the immunohistochemistry results demonstrated that DEPDC1 was high-expressed in breast cancer tissues compared with the paired adjacent normal breast tissues, and its tendency at protein level was consistent with mRNA level from TCGA data. Moreover, DEPDC1 mRNA level revealed the strongest association with poor prognosis and development in breast cancer. A Parkinson's disease gene, DJ-1, regulates anti-inflammatory roles of astrocytes through prostaglandin D2 synthase expression.
Abstract Dysfunctional regulation of inflammation may contribute to the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. The results of this study revealed that DJ-1, a Parkinson's disease (PD) gene, regulated expression of prostaglandin D2 synthase (PTGDS) and production of prostaglandin D2 (PGD2), by which DJ-1 enhanced anti-inflammatory function of astrocytes. Effects of SIRT1 silencing on viability, invasion and metastasis of human glioma cell lines.
