Observations of the effectiveness, dosage, and prognosis of intensity-modulated radiation therapy under ultrasonic guidance for cervical cancer patients
CONCLUSION: VMAT guided by ultrasound for patients with cervical cancer demonstrates promising short- and long-term treatment outcomes. It also leads to improvements in serum CEA, SCC-Ag, and CA724 levels, as well as reductions in the average radiation dosages to the radiotherapy target area, rectum, and bladder. This approach warrants attention from clinicians in clinical practice.PMID:38607778 | DOI:10.3233/THC-231977 (Source: Technology and Health Care)

Genes, Vol. 15, Pages 488: Combined Analysis of Untargeted Metabolomics and Transcriptomics Revealed Seed Germination and Seedling Establishment in Zelkova schneideriana
This study conducted metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses of seed germination and seedling establishment in Z. schneideriana. Regular expression of genes and metabolite levels has been observed in plant hormone signal transduction, starch and sucrose metabolism, linoleic acid metabolism, and phenylpropanoid biosynthesis. The reduction in abscisic acid during seed germination may lead to seed release from dormancy. After the seed is released from dormancy, the metabolic levels of auxin, cytokinins, brassinolide, and various sugars are elevated, and they are consumed in large quantities during the seedling establishment s...

Exploring research progress in studying serum exosomal miRNA-21 as a molecular diagnostic marker for breast cancer
Clin Transl Oncol. 2024 Apr 11. doi: 10.1007/s12094-024-03454-z. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTBreast cancer is one of the most prevalent malignancies affecting women globally and poses a significant public health challenge. Early clinical detection plays a pivotal role in providing optimal treatment opportunities and favorable prognoses, crucial for reducing breast cancer mortality and enhancing patients' quality of life. Therefore, the timely identification and diagnosis of breast cancer are imperative. Conventional tumor markers, such as carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 15-3 (CA15-3), serve as rel...

ERAS Implementation in Thoracic Surgery
Zentralbl Chir. 2024 Apr 11. doi: 10.1055/a-2276-1694. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThis manuscript provides an overview of the principles and requirements for implementing the ERAS program in thoracic surgery. The ERAS program optimises perioperative management of elective lung resection procedures and is based on the ERAS Guidelines for Thoracic Surgery of the ERAS Society. The clinical measures are described as in the current literature, with a focus on postoperative outcome. There are currently 45 enhanced recovery items covering four perioperative phases: from the prehospital admission phase (patient education, screen...
