Successful treatment of rupture of anastomosis after rectal cancer by transanal drainage tube with negative pressure flushing: A case report.
CONCLUSION: Patients with laparoscopic LAR for rectal cancer who have experienced neoadjuvant therapy and chemotherapy, due to the thickening of the intestinal wall, the anastomosis nail is easy to fall off, more likely to have AL, and even the anastomotic is completely detachment. The use of transanal drainage tube with negative pressure flushing might avoid patients who with AL undergoing reoperation. Treatment of incarcerated choledocholithiasis with holmium laser in laparoscopic bile duct exploration.
Abstract Laparoscopic biliary tract exploration is a minimally invasive surgery for biliary calculi. Most of the stones could be removed by conventional surgical methods including lithotomy forceps and choledochoscopy, but for the incarceration stones of the bile duct, it is technically challenging to crush the stones directly by the lithotomy forceps. We retrospective clinical data describing the long-term experience of incarcerated choledocholithiasis with holmium laser in laparoscopic bile duct exploration (LCBDE). We enrolled 35 patients who were treated with holmium laser in LCBDE. All patients successfully c...

Association between preoperative use of antithrombotic medications and intraoperative transfusion in older patients undergoing cancer surgery.
Abstract BACKGROUND: Management of antiplatelet agents and other chronic anticoagulation medications in patients scheduled for surgery can reduce intraoperative bleeding complications. However, few studies on the association of antithrombotics, relative to their duration of action, with intraoperative transfusion have been conducted. We aimed to determine the association of recent use of antithrombotics, relative to their duration of action, with intraoperative transfusion in elderly people undergoing cancer surgery.
