Evaluation of different body temperature measurement methods for patients in the intraoperative period
CONCLUSION: the data from the current study do not recommend using infrared temporal thermometers as a strategy for measuring the body temperature of patients undergoing anesthetic-surgical procedures. Central cutaneous thermometers and esophageal/nasopharyngeal thermometers are equivalent for detecting intraoperative hypothermia.PMID:38655937 | DOI:10.1590/1518-8345.6873.4143 (Source: Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem)

Identification of Key lncRNAs Associated with Immune Infiltration and Prognosis in Gastric Cancer
In this study, we systematically analyzed lncRNA and miRNA transcriptomic profiles of GC based on bioinformatics methods and experimental validation. An lncRNA-miRNA interaction network related to GC was constructed, and the nine crucial lncRNAs were identified. These 9 lncRNAs were found to be associated with the prognosis of GC patients by Cox proportional hazards regression analysis. Among them, the expression of lncRNA SNHG14 can affect the survival of GC patients as a potential prognostic marker. Moreover, it was shown that SNHG14 was involved in immune-related pathways and significantly correlated with immune cell in...

SMARCA4-Deficient Undifferentiated Esophageal Carcinoma: A Clinical Case Series and Literature Review
ConclusionsResearch in SMARCA-deficient UEC is very limited. It is more common in men, age is variable, and associated with Barret ’s esophagus. Further research is necessary to better understand it and to establish treatment guidelines; however, it is clear that SMARCA4-deficient UEC carries a significantly poor prognosis. An integrated analysis of the anticarcinogenic role of forkhead box protein 1 in oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma
This study investigated the role of FOXP1 in oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma through bioinformatics analysis and experimental verification. We determined through public databases that FOXP1 expresses low in oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma compared with normal tissues, while high expression of FOXP1 indicates a better prognosis. We identified potential target genes regulated by FOXP1, and explored the potential biological processes and signalling pathways involved in FOXP1 in oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma through GO and KEGG enrichment, gene co-expression analysis, and protein interaction network construction....
