CircPDE5A-encoded novel regulator of the PI3K/AKT pathway inhibits esophageal squamous cell carcinoma progression by promoting USP14-mediated de-ubiquitination of PIK3IP1
CONCLUSION: The novel protein PDE5A-500aa encoded by circPDE5A can act as an inhibitor of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway to inhibit the progression of ESCC by promoting USP14-mediated de-ubiquitination of PIK3IP1 and may serve as a potential target for the development of therapeutic agents.PMID:38658954 | DOI:10.1186/s13046-024-03054-3 (Source: Cell Research)

Evaluation of different body temperature measurement methods for patients in the intraoperative period
CONCLUSION: the data from the current study do not recommend using infrared temporal thermometers as a strategy for measuring the body temperature of patients undergoing anesthetic-surgical procedures. Central cutaneous thermometers and esophageal/nasopharyngeal thermometers are equivalent for detecting intraoperative hypothermia.PMID:38655937 | DOI:10.1590/1518-8345.6873.4143 (Source: Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem)

Identification of Key lncRNAs Associated with Immune Infiltration and Prognosis in Gastric Cancer
In this study, we systematically analyzed lncRNA and miRNA transcriptomic profiles of GC based on bioinformatics methods and experimental validation. An lncRNA-miRNA interaction network related to GC was constructed, and the nine crucial lncRNAs were identified. These 9 lncRNAs were found to be associated with the prognosis of GC patients by Cox proportional hazards regression analysis. Among them, the expression of lncRNA SNHG14 can affect the survival of GC patients as a potential prognostic marker. Moreover, it was shown that SNHG14 was involved in immune-related pathways and significantly correlated with immune cell in...
