A comparative study of mono-exponential and advanced diffusion-weighted imaging in differentiating stage IA endometrial carcinoma from benign endometrial lesions
ConclusionAdvanced diffusion-weighted imaging models have good performance for differentiating IAEC from EH and endometrial thickening. Among all of the diffusion parameters, K showed the best performance and was the only independent predictor. Diffusion kurtosis imaging was defined as the most valuable model in the current context. The Application of Nanotechnological Therapeutic Platforms against Gynecological Cancers
Curr Pharm Des. 2024 Mar 18. doi: 10.2174/0113816128291955240306112558. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTGynecological cancers (GCs), ovarian, cervical, and endometrial/uterine cancers, are often associated with poor outcomes. Despite the development of several therapeutic modalities against GCs, the effectiveness of the current therapeutic approaches is limited due to their side effects, low therapeutic index, short halflife, and resistance to therapy. To overcome these limitations, nano delivery-based approaches have been introduced with the potential of targeted delivery, reduced toxicity, controlled release, and improved ...

Cancers, Vol. 16, Pages 1210: Clinical Workflow of Cone Beam Computer Tomography-Based Daily Online Adaptive Radiotherapy with Offline Magnetic Resonance Guidance: The Modular Adaptive Radiotherapy System (MARS)
Conclusion: This study describes the first workflow to date of a CBCT-based oART combined with a shuttle-based offline approach for MR guidance. The oART duration times reported resemble the range shown by previous publications for first clinical experiences with the Ethos system. (Source: Cancers)

The role and challenges of regulating endometrial microbiome in uterine health and diseases
Crit Rev Microbiol. 2024 Mar 15:1-18. doi: 10.1080/1040841X.2024.2320247. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe uterine environment provides necessary conditions for the existence of endometrial microbiota, which in turn plays an important role in maintaining the homeostasis of the uterine environment. The endometrial microbiome is highly susceptible to external factors such as age, hormones, menstrual, pregnancy, etc. When the microbiota is imbalanced, it will further promote the occurrence of uterine diseases such as endometritis and endometrial cancer. Regulating the microbiome of the endometrium is of positive significance...

Hand Foot Syndrome Induced by Lenvatinib - A Case Report
CONCLUSION: Hand-foot syndrome is one of the commonest ADRs due to the use of lenvatinib. Lenvatinib is an oral formulation that patients can take at their homes. Hence, educating patients regarding the HFS is important so that they report it to the treating physicians on time. It is also essential to educate patients regarding the precautions to be taken to avoid hand-foot syndrome. This will help the physicians with the early discontinuation and appropriate treatment with corticosteroids, which will help in improving the quality of life of the patients already suffering from cancer.PMID:38486391 | DOI:10.2174/01157488632...
