The predictive value of NLR, PLR and MLR in the differential diagnosis of benign uterine diseases and endometrial malignant tumors
CONCLUSIONS: In peripheral blood, NLR, PLR and MLR have certain diagnostic value in the differential diagnosis of endometrial cancer. When NLR, PLR and MLR are elevated, we should be alert to the occurrence of endometrial malignant tumors, and the combined diagnostic efficiency is high.PMID:38555539 | DOI:10.1007/s12672-024-00956-8 (Source: Cancer Control)

Alterations of UHRF family Expression and was regulated by High Risk Type HPV16 in Uterine Cervical Cancer
In this study, we analyzed the UHRF family expression in cervical cancers, and it's regulation by human papillomavirus (HPV). Western blotting was performed to analyze protein expression in cervical cancer cell lines. Immunohistochemical analysis were used to investigate the expression of UHRF family and MIB-1 in cervical cancer tissues. Transfection were done for analyze the relationship between UHRF family and HPVs. We showed that NIRF expression was decreased and ICBP90 expression was increased in cervical cancers compared to normal counterparts. Western blotting also showed that NIRF expression was quite low levels, bu...

High-dose ascorbate exerts anti-tumor activities and improves inhibitory effect of carboplatin through the pro-oxidant function pathway in uterine serous carcinoma cell lines
CONCLUSIONS: Ascorbate has potent antitumor activity and acts synergistically with carboplatin through its pro-oxidant effects. Clinical trials of ascorbate combined with carboplatin as adjuvant treatment of uterine serous carcinoma are worth exploring.PMID:38555710 | DOI:10.1016/j.ygyno.2024.03.021 (Source: Gynecologic Oncology)

Significance of platelet parameters in invasive squamous cell carcinoma of uterine cervix
CONCLUSION: Platelet parameters are importance in cervical cancer. PLR, platelet count, and PCT are platelet parameters that can be used as predictors and prognostic parameters in cervical cancer. These parameters are cost-effective and can be considered in low resource settings. However, a multicentric study with a larger sample size should be done to extrapolate the findings for patient care.PMID:38554311 | DOI:10.4103/jcrt.jcrt_217_22 (Source: Cell Research)
