The aim of this study was to generate a rabbit model of femoral artery thromboembolism occlusion and the subsequent investigating the feasibility of Q-switched Nd: YAG laser thrombolytic therapy accompanied by simultaneously intravenous streptokinase and PESDA microbubbles administration in this model.

Anthropometric Obesity Indices were Stronger than CT-Based Indices in Associations with Carotid Intima-Media Thickness in Japanese Men.
CONCLUSIONS: In community-dwelling Japanese men, anthropometric obesity indices, BMI in particular, were more strongly associated with carotid atherosclerosis than CT-based obesity indices. The association of general obesity with carotid atherosclerosis was strong and adding CT-based obesity measure did not considerably influence in the association. Catheter-directed thrombolysis versus suction thrombectomy in the management of acute pulmonary embolism
ConclusionsCDT seems to have similar outcomes with ST in the management of acute PE, although larger, more homogenous data are needed. In our experience, ST should be viewed as a complementary alternative for patients with contraindication for thrombolytics or severely compromised hemodynamic profile and can yield good outcomes in an otherwise highly morbid population.

Increased Leucocyte-Platelet Complex Formation in Recently Symptomatic versus Asymptomatic Carotid Stenosis Patients and in Micro-emboli Negative Subgroups.
