Gap year...doing a non-Medicine related job
so, I graduated college and finish prerequisite by May 2018, but will likely apply June 2019. I don’t want to do anything medical for gap year. I spent college doing medical clinical hrs. I still want to be a Dr. But I think I’m burnt. Ideally I would do something differen, like teach English in a different country, like Thailand. I think, based off my experience tutoring, that I really like teaching. It’s also that if i am going to be a Dr ( if I get into med school pass etc.), then my... Southern Missouri Jobs
Anyone know anything about jobs in southern Missouri? Particularly thinking about Freeman Hospital, Mercy health network, Cox Hospitals. Burnt out. Some advice?
Hi All, I am looking for some help/advice. I am ~5 years out of residency ABEM certified. I enjoy my day to day work and the medicine involved. The requirements of the specialty have started to become a drag. I knew this was a 24/7, 365 job when I signed up for EM as a career. At that time I was single and was attracted to the medicine and the total hours worked. I figured when I got married and had children the extra days off would offset the issues.
