Protein phosphatase 2A B55β limits CD8+ T cell lifespan following cytokine withdrawal
How T cells integrate environmental cues into signals that limit the magnitude and length of immune responses is poorly understood. Here, we provide data that demonstrate that B55β, a regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 2A, represents a molecular link between cytokine concentration and apoptosis in activated CD8+ T cells. Through the modulation of AKT, B55β induced the expression of the proapoptotic molecule Hrk in response to cytokine withdrawal. Cardiorespiratory fitness assessment among firefighters: Is the non-exercise estimate accurate?
CONCLUSIONS: The NEx-CRF method to estimate firefighters' CRF may be considered as an alternative method when an exercise-based method is not available or may be used to identify those who require more traditional testing (CRF 11-13METs).

Abstract
The study aimed to determine eight hazardous heavy metals in surface water and sediment samples collected from the Naf River, Shah Porir Dwip (estuary), and mostly around Saint Martin's Island in the Bay of Bengal. The results of heavy metals in water samples were ranged as Pb 14.7-313.0, Cd 33.0-70.0, Cr < 11.0-37.0, Cu 38.0-57.0, Zn 26.8-69.2, Ni 102.0-285.0, and Hg 0.3-1.6 μg L-1.
