Efficacy of trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) and lapatinib after dual HER2 inhibition with trastuzumab and pertuzumab in patient with metastatic breast cancer: Retrospective data from a French multicenter real-life cohort
CONCLUSION: First-line trastuzumab plus pertuzumab do not markedly diminish T-DM1's efficacy in second-line. Similarly, sequential treatment with trastuzumab plus pertuzumab then T-DM1 does not noticeably modify the efficacy of lapatinib plus capecitabine.PMID:35299035 | PMC:PMC8927850 | DOI:10.1016/j.breast.2022.03.004 (Source: Breast)

The EPIGENE network: A French initiative to harmonize and improve the nationwide diagnosis of monogenic epilepsies
CONCLUSION: These results suggest that a gene-panel approach is an efficient first-tier test for the genetic diagnosis of Mendelian epileptic disorders. In a near future, French patients with "drug-resistant epilepsies with seizure-onset in the first two-years of life" can benefit from whole-genome sequencing (WGS), as a second line genetic screening with the implementation of the 2025 French Genomic Medicine Plan. The EPIGENE network has also promoted scientific collaborations on genetic epilepsies within CRéER.PMID:35091117 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejmg.2022.104445 (Source: European Journal of Medical Genetics)

Spatial organisation of Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli O157:H7 cultivated in gel matrices
Food Microbiol. 2022 May;103:103965. doi: 10.1016/j.fm.2021.103965. Epub 2021 Dec 8.ABSTRACTThe spatial organisation of bacterial pathogens in food matrices remains poorly understood, but is important in improving risk assessment and preventing infection of consumers by contaminated foodstuff. By combining confocal laser scanning microscopy with genetic fluorescent labelling of Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli O157:H7, it was possible to investigate the spatial patterns of colonisation of both foodborne pathogens in gel matrices, alone or in combination, in various environmental conditions. Increasing low meltin...
