Therapeutic Effect of Autologous Bone Marrow Stem Cell Mobilization Combined with Anti-infective Therapy on Moyamoya Disease
Conclusion: autogenous bone marrow stem cell mobilization combined with dexamethasone anti-inflammation and anti-infection treatment after revascularization in patients with MMD can accelerate the recovery of nerve function and promote the formation of new blood vessels. At the same time, it can reduce inflammation and improve patients' quality of life, which is worthy of clinical reference.

Cardiac hypertrophy with obesity is augmented after pregnancy in C57BL/6 mice
ConclusionsThese results suggest that the combined effects of pregnancy and obesity augment cardiac hypertrophy and promote remodeling. The rising prevalence of CVD in premenopausal women may be attributed to an increased prevalence of women entering pregnancy with an overweight or obese BMI.

Fuzzy cognitive map based approach for determining the risk of ischemic stroke
In this study, the soft computing method known as fuzzy cognitive mapping was proposed for diagnosis of the risk of ischemic stroke. Non-linear Hebbian learning method was used for fuzzy cognitive maps training. In the proposed method, the risk rate for each person was determined based on the opinions of the neurologists. Kessler Foundation receives NIH sub-award to test new treatment for hand paralysis
(Kessler Foundation) This is the first multi-site clinical trial of contralaterally controlled functional electrical stimulation, a new rehabilitation intervention for hand recovery following stroke developed by Knutson et al. Electrical stimulation is applied to the weak hand through surface electrodes, causing the weak hand to open. The patient controls the stimulation through a glove with sensors on the unaffected hand. Opening their unaffected hand provide stimulation that opens their weak hand, and enables them to practice using their hand in therapy.
