Is SMP my best option
I am graduating from JHU this May with GPA of 3.1 and MCAT score of 515. I had a bad semester (1.73 GPA) Is SMP my best option to improve GPA and to strengthen my application for medical school? What are my chances of getting into one of following SMPs? Should I follow through with getting a lukewarm science LOR??
I'm a public health major who foolishly neglected to go to office hours for basically all of my hard science classes. I'm getting one LOR from my freshman year neuro prof, who's also my academic advisor, and I planned to request one from my physiology prof from last semester. I got a solid A in her class and though I only went to office hours once, I had several email exchanges with her asking questions about the material and raised my hand in class a number of times. Question about systems-based curriculum (organ system "blocks")
So I'm just trying to gain a better understanding of a systems-based curriculum and how exactly it's broken down. The way I understand it currently is for each particular organ system, you attack it from all directions, including microbiology, physiology, genetics, biochemistry, and pathology, as well as any behavioral/social sciences related to the topic.
