WAMC/Thoughts on school list?
Posting for another: State/Country of Residence: WWAMI state White male, 22, 3.81 cGPA and 3.70 sGPA. Dual major in molecular biology and physiology w/ minors in chemistry, honors, and psychology. IMPORTANT NOTE: I struggled hard with classes at first (didn't apply myself :/) and have 5 Ws over three semesters, so GPA looks better than irl transcript. I did get a 4.0 for the last 73 credits however. Most of my Ws are in important prereq classes. I also have gotten three... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How do I know if PT is actually not the right fit for me?
I always had a little bit of doubt. I feel like I have just been sticking to it because I was scared to change my mind and wasn't really sure what else to do and already geared all of undergrad towards DPT. Lots of regret not just pausing and exploring other careers. I'm now a 1st year, in my 3rd semester. I can't seem to pull together any motivation to continue. All this work, stress and debt just doesn't feel worth it. I'm a lecture away from just switching to exercise physiology or... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Need help and advice about returning to school
Hey everyone. I want to make this as brief as possible. I'm a 28 year old single guy. I completed an undergrad degree in Human Physiology in 2018 and my cumulative gpa was 3.19 with 124 semester hours. My science gpa is below a 3.0, maybe around a 2.7 or 2.8. Since I graduated I have been bouncing around a few jobs and settled on working in manufacturing. I actually have a career in the company I'm currently in, but I am just thinking of using this as a way to save a lot of money to go... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

USMLE & Medical School Tips For First Years [Need Advice]
Greetings! I've been a lurker at SDN and this is my first post. I cleared my medical entrance exam from India and my classes would be starting from February or March '22. I want to have a clear understanding of physiology, anatomy and biochemistry from first year itself and eventually clear the USMLE Step 1 towards the ending of my 2nd year or beginning of 3rd year. Thus, I want to start studying the first year subjects from December and would really love some advice on how to get started... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

4 Months for MCAT w/o Physiology
Hi everyone, I am planning on studying for the MCAT for 4 months, but I decided against taking physiology to protect my cGPA and sGPA (notoriously death class at my school). So, I have to learn that content before really studying I guess. Is 4 months too short now? Little concerned about doing alllll the content review I need to do (because I don't remember physics) in like a month so I have 3 months of just practice questions. Any advice is really appreciated! Thanks! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Smp georgetown 2021-2022
Hi I am trying to apply to the special masters program in physiology at Georgetown. I wanted to know if anyone is planning to apply with a GRE instead of the MCAT?. When I talked to the representative of the smp program, they said that they prefer the MCAT but I know that is not the case for everyone wishing to obtain the best score in their MCAT. MCAT without Physiology
Hi! I can't fit mammalian physiology into my schedule before I take the MCAT. Am I ****ed? I hear differing options between "IT IS TOTALLY NEEDED YOU WILL DIE ON B/B" and "meh it does not really matter it's not a pre-rec just use a prep book and khan academy." Which is it... I can try and push my test date back. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Bad idea to register for this class?
Hi, I took a Animal Physiology class at my university as an elective for my Bio major. It is a comparison of physiological systems among major taxa. Because I am co-applying to other allied health programs, I then took a Human Physiology class at a community college over the summer one year. The other programs I am thinking about as backups if medical school doesn't work out specifically really wanted Human Physiology without regard to other species. There was barely any human physiology... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Best FM Residency for Women ’s Health Interest - Lots of Qs
First, thanks for reading this! I know it is long. I am pretty set on FM. I love it to death. I also really love women‘s health. While I would love the added bonus of delivering babies, until I get closer to finishing medical school, I’m not sure if I want to dedicate so much of my time to OB And I don‘t want their lifestyle. I’d prefer mostly 8-5 with occasional emergencies. I’ve always loved the physiology of female reproductive system and have 4 sisters so I generally enjoy working...
