University of Louisville Dental School
Does anyone know how hard it is to establish residency in Kentucky, specifically at the university of louisville. I plan on possibly moving there this coming may as my fiancé landed a job there. I would do the masters in physiology program, take a gap year and apply to university of louisville dental school. So I technically will have the 12 month gap of fully working in the state, but how hard is it to establish residency before dental school to get in state tuition? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What did you guys think about the board exam last wednesday? I felt miserable halfway through the first block, that kept getting worse and worse. Lotsa basic physiology questions. do certifications affect application weight?
So I'm graduating this April and will be applying the first day of June. I will have 2 certifications; should I put both of these on my Application? unfortunately, I haven't been able to use the exercise physiology certificate, but I was a personal trainer for about 6 months before research consumed me. I don't want the ADCOMS to think I'm putting an unused cert. on an app to fill space. - certified exercise physiologist (ACSM-ep) - certified personal trainer any help would be appreciated... do certifications affect application weight? Anatomy & Physiology vs. General Physiology?
Hi all, I would love to say I'm holding out hope for an acceptance this cycle, but I'm also trying to prepare myself academically to re-apply next year. I'm keeping track of all of my pre-requisites for all my possible school choices, and some schools seem to either value or require some degree of anatomy/physiology. Here's my question: my school offers human-based anatomy & physiology (which seems to be anatomy-heavy and very clinically relevant) and general physiology (appears to be... Summer research - leave home institution or stay?
I am very well integrated in my home institution’s neuroscience/physiology department. I have a lot of amazing opportunities here. Staying over the summer would allow me to take on more leadership roles and get to know my PI even better. I’ve also been talking to a different professor about learning a new technique and trying it out over in his lab. However, I’ve considered applying to summer internships to see what other labs are like at different institutions, gain new experiences, and... Summer research - leave home institution or stay? BA vs BS for DO schools
Hi, does it matter whether you have a ba or bs in biology for md and do schools? I am currently doing a ba in biology and I have been trying to switch my major to bs in biology conc. in physiology because people have been telling me it looks better. The problem is my university is having trouble figuring out whether i can even change and I’ve been getting mixed answers from advisors. If I were to switch I would graduate in spring 21 and if I don’t then I would graduate in spring 20. I was... BA vs BS for DO schools (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What were the most helpful resources as an MS1 for each systems?
I do best with videos and wondering if anyone has their favorite resources for each system as an MS1. I start CV (pathology, anatomy, and physiology) tomorrow. I find videos the best way for me to learn. I loved Sketchy. The more visual the better for me. If anyone has practice questions, videos, or review books they found helpful I'd greatly appreciate it, especially for CV. I'm hoping to do better in the course. Thanks! Nutrition LOR = science LOR?
My strongest letters would come from my nutrition professors and PI. I assume this would be fine since anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and biochemistry are prerequisites for many nutrition classes and it’s all science. They aren’t looking for basic science letters right? @LizzyM (Source: Student Doctor Network)
