Debating a PharmD
I’ve been in a little conundrum lately trying to figure out where to take my life/career, and have been considering pharmacy, but would love to get input from someone who is a pharmacist/going through pharm school. I received my bachelors degree in kinesiology in 2019, and am pursuing a masters in public health right now. I have never had a specific interest in health, but have been generally interested in the healthcare field for a while, especially after I took anatomy and physiology. I... PM & R or Anesthesiology
Hello, I just started my fourth year, and I'm trying to decide between PM&R and anesthesiology for residency. Sorry for the long post. I included a summary at the bottom for those that don't want to read the whole thing. About me Allopathic school in Northeast Step 1: 247 Step 2 CK: 244 Clerkships: Everything basically HP with nice comments except H in peds and P in medicine No red flags, publication in undergrad for molecular exercise physiology research Incredibly handsome... Hi all, I need some help figuring out how to make a list of schools and suggestions on whether I should even apply this year. Excellent new exam resource (SAQs)
Ketamine Nightmares An Australian Anaesthetic Trainee has created a website with some prior exam questions/answers available to the general training community. Probably more useful for non-US trainees as I think US training isn't very heavy on Essay/Short Answer Question (SAQ) assessments. It's a good website with reasonable coverage of the Primary curriculum (physiology, pharmacology and equipment). Adequate depth to score a solid pass (3/5) for most... (Advice needed) Pharmacy vs Physical therapy?
Hello, So I am in my sophomore-junior year majoring in biology and I have maintained mostly 4.0s including General Bio, General chem and Anatomy and Physiology calculs1... etc in community college I originally wanted to pursue pharmacy but a lot of negative comments on the internet (including forums here) and a few pharmacists that I have personally interviewed discouraged me to become a pharmacist because of the saturation of the market. I am now considering Physical therapy but I am not... (Advice needed) Pharmacy vs Physical therapy? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Help with a physiology-clinical scenario question
First off - This was NOT my case. I came on to relieve the call team and they were finishing up the case that I am about to describe - so the fine details are lacking. As I understand it..... a 19 y/o ruptured appendix some days before, IR drain not working...patient getting sicker and sicker...decision to OR for laparoscopic appy. Patient has been tacchycardic, but good urine output and no hypotension. Induction is smooth with no hemodynamic compromise (so i am told...i'm not sure if... Taking 3 science classes in one semester as a non-science major
So this semester I was planning on taking General Chemistry 1, General Biology 1, Physiology. Any thoughts on how I should go about taking these three together? I have already taken Human Anatomy in the previous Spring 2020 semester. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

non-trad pre-med student
Hi all, I am an aspiring, non-traditional pre-medical student in California. I went to a community college (CC) before graduating from a 4-year in 2018 with a Bachelors's degree in Healthcare Administration. I took an Introduction to Biology course (got a B) and Anatomy and Physiology course (got a C) at the CC as pre-requisite requirements for the degree. Aside from these courses, I have not completed any other sciences, which means I need to fulfill the pre-requisite courses needed for... non-trad pre-med student (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Other sciences? sGPA
Hey, sorry if this has been addressed but I'm curious as to what other science makes up on the dental application?? On the ADEA AADSAS they mention biomechanics, exercise science, kinesiology, ect... Do these really count towards other sciences? O was a kineisiology major so otd be a huge plus but have a hard time believing I'd be that lucky. Thanks! BTW I've taken, sports psych, biomechanics, exercise physiology, nutrition and wellness, intro to KNS, motor development, motor learning... Other sciences? sGPA (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Do upper-levels science courses needed in medical schools?
Hey, I’m a rising sophomore major in chemical engineering. Due to my major, I don’t have that much time to complete many upper-levels chem/bio courses as the tradition pre-med I definitely would take biochemistry 1 with anatomy and physiology. My questions is would it be enough to survive in medical schools later on? I’m worry that I won’t have a strong background as others. In addition, I'm considering taking cell molecular too. Is is going to help me with the MCAT or do general biology... Do upper-levels science courses needed in medical schools? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

SMP Help please!!
Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on SDN but I'm really in a bind and need help deciding on the following SMPs! Tufts, EVMS, CWRU-physiology, Drexel IMS, Georgetown. I don't qualify for the guaranteed interview from CWRU due to a much lower GPA than required.I live in FL so they would all be considered out of state. I'm mostly looking for which program would give me the best shot at getting into medical school after the program but I'm conflicted between going with name recognition... SMP Help please!! Should I take the W?
Long story short, I'm taking online physiology through Arizona State to cover one of the prerequisites for (primarily) UC Davis. It's a 14 week class condensed to 6 weeks for the summer. I wasn't able to do my intended shadow clinic hours earlier in the year due to COVID. On day 2 of class I was given the opportunity to start at a small animal clinic and do roughly 500 hours in the next 3 months. I tried to drop my class but due to the shortened schedule I can't drop it now without a W going... Should I take the W? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
