Study on the Nasal Drug Delivery System of NMD Liposomes In Situ Thermosensitive Gel
AAPS PharmSciTech. 2023 Nov 16;24(8):234. doi: 10.1208/s12249-023-02679-5.ABSTRACTNimodipine (NMD) is a 1,4-dihydropyridine calcium antagonist that is effective in the prevention and treatment of cerebral arterial vasospasm and cerebral ischemic injury caused by subarachnoid hemorrhage. Since the drug itself is highly insoluble in water and has low oral bioavailability, while injectable formulations may cause pain and inflammation, the blood-brain barrier (BBB) prevents the effective delivery of therapeutic agents to the brain tissue. Therefore, in the present study, NMD liposomes were prepared by ethanol injection and inn...

Inhalation Lenalidomide-Loaded Liposome for Bleomycin-Induced Pulmonary Fibrosis Improvement
AAPS PharmSciTech. 2023 Nov 16;24(8):235. doi: 10.1208/s12249-023-02690-w.ABSTRACTIdiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive, fibrotic interstitial lung disease with unclear etiology and increasing prevalence. Pulmonary administration can make the drug directly reach the lung lesion location and reduce systemic toxic and side effects. The effectiveness of lenalidomide (Len) liposomal lung delivery in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis was investigated. Len liposomes (Len-Lip) were prepared from soybean lecithin, cholesterol (Chol), and medicine in different weight ratios by thin film hydration method. The Len-Lip were...

α-Tocopherol-loaded multi-layer nanoemulsion using chitosan, and dextran sulfate: Cellular uptake, antioxidant activity, and in vitro bioaccessibility
Int J Biol Macromol. 2023 Oct 31:127819. doi: 10.1016/j.ijbiomac.2023.127819. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe potential of multi-layer nanoemulsions (NEs) for improving the cellular uptake, antioxidant activity, and in vitro bioaccessibility of α-tocopherol (ToC) was examined. ToC-loaded multi-layer NEs were prepared using lecithin (primary-NE, P-NE), chitosan (secondary-NE, S-NE), and dextran sulfate (tertiary-NE, T-NE) as wall materials. The bioadhesion, cellular permeability, and uptake of the multi-layer NEs were significantly higher than that of the free coumarin 6 (C6). As a result of cellular uptake, the mean flu...

Magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles@lecithin/poly (l-lactic acid) microspheres for targeted drug release in cancer therapy
In this study, Fe3O4 NPs were synthesized using pomegranate peel extract as a natural reducing and stabilizing agent. The double emulsification method (W1/O/W2) was employed to produce Fe3O4@LEC-CIF-PLA-MMS, which were characterized using various spectral and microscopic techniques. The drug encapsulation efficiency for Fe3O4@LEC-CIF-PLA-MMS was found to be 80.7 %. The in vitro drug release of CIF from Fe3O4@LEC-CIF-PLA-MMS induced by H2O2 and GSH- stimuli was found to be 87.55 % and 82.32 %, respectively in acidic pH 4.5. Notably, the magnetically triggered drug release behaviour of Fe3O4@LEC-CIF-PLA-MMS (93.56 %) was ass...

Regulating Phase Distribution of Dion –Jacobson Perovskite Colloidal Multiple Quantum Wells Toward Highly Stable Deep‐Blue Emission
This study creates a new colloidal multiple quantum wells (CMQWs) based on Dion –Jacobson (D–J) structure perovskite by introducing diammonium cation. Through regulating phase distribution by valeric acid and zwitterionic lecithin, pure deep-blue emission at 435 nm is achieved. The D–J structural CMQWs exhibit inherent superior stability which opens a new direction for f abricating stable perovskite optoelectronics. AbstractMetal halide perovskite colloidal quantum wells (CQWs) hold great promise for modern photonics and optoelectronics. However, current studies focus on Ruddlesden –Popper (R–P) phase perovskite...
