Traditional preparations of kava (Piper methysticum) inhibit the growth of human colon cancer cells in vitro
Conclusion: Our results show that traditional kava, alone or combined with sea hibiscus, displays activity against human cancer cells and indicate it will be worthwhile to develop and further analyze these preparations to prevent and treat colon and other cancers. Our findings suggest it is important to examine the activity of plants in the form that people consume them. Graphical abstract (Source: Phytomedicine)

Herbal Highs: Review on psychoactive effects and neuropharmacology.

Reproductive outcomes in recipients are not associated with oocyte donor body mass index (BMI): a cohort study of 2927 cycles
Increased BMI is associated with negative impact on reproductive outcomes in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), implying a role of defective endometrial receptivity. Recently, it has been suggested that the oocyte quality contributes to a reduction in clinical pregnancy rates with increasing donor BMI, since the odds of clinical pregnancy and live birth declined with increasing single units of BMI( 1 kg/m2). The aim of the present study is to assess the impact of donor BMI in live birth rates (LBR) in a large cohort of recipients of donated oocytes. (Source: Fertility and Sterility)
