Cancers, Vol. 15, Pages 5144: An Observational Case-Control Study on Parental Age and Childhood Renal Tumors
rbert Graf Despite excellent outcomes, many open questions remain about Wilms tumor (WT). Influences and risk factors for tumorigenesis, as well as tumor aggressiveness and recurrence, are not fully understood. Parental age plays a role in various childhood diseases and is also discussed as a risk factor for childhood cancer. We analyzed both maternal and paternal age at birth as risk factors for the occurrence of Wilms and non-Wilms tumors in children and investigated whether older maternal or paternal age is associated with a higher tumor incidence. During 1990 and 2019 we collected data from 3991 patients from the m...

Clear cell sarcoma of kidney: A mimicker of Wilms' tumor
In this report, we present a child presenting with a huge renal mass consistent with Wilms' tumor on computed tomography and initial biopsy. However, the final pathologic diagnosis after resection revealed CCSK.PMID:37787333 | DOI:10.4103/jcrt.jcrt_432_21 (Source: Cell Research)

Wilms Tumor: An Unexpected Diagnosis in Adult Patients
CONCLUSIONS.—: WT is an unexpected and difficult entity to diagnose in adults and should be considered when faced with a primitive-appearing renal or metastatic tumor. Molecular testing may help exclude other possibilities but may not be sensitive or specific because of the relatively large number of driver mutations reported in WT.PMID:37756569 | DOI:10.5858/arpa.2023-0127-OA (Source: Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine)

Clinical Care for People Who Survive Childhood Cancer: A Review
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: Approximately 500 000 individuals currently alive in the US have survived childhood cancer. The most common adverse effects in individuals who survived childhood cancer are endocrine disorders, subsequent neoplasms, and cardiovascular disease. There is a need for clinicians and patients to have heightened awareness of these complications.PMID:37750876 | DOI:10.1001/jama.2023.16875 (Source: Cancer Control)

Cytotoxicity of WT1-reactive T cells against Wilms tumor: An implication for antigen-specific adoptive immunotherapy
CONCLUSION: WT1-reactive T cells can be effectively enriched from the PBMCs of patients with Wilms tumor. Ex vivo generated WT1-reactive T cells might be considered an adoptive immunotherapeutic option for WT1+ Wilms tumors.PMID:37736339 | PMC:PMC10509739 | DOI:10.34172/bi.2023.27576 (Source: Cancer Control)
