Identification and Validation of Lipid Metabolism Gene FASN-Associated miRNA in Wilms Tumor
This study intends to explore the role of miRNA in the lipid metabolism and development of Wilms tumor (WT) by detecting and analyzing the differences in the expression profiles of miRNAs between the tumor and adjacent normal tissue. Gene detection was performed in tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues of three cases of WT to screen differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs). According to our previous research, FASN, which participates in the lipid metabolism pathway, may be a target of WT. The starBase database was used to predict FASN-targeted miRNAs. The above two groups of miRNAs were intersected to obtain FASN-targete...

Survival assessment of nephron-sparing surgery or radical nephrectomy in children with unilateral Wilms tumor receiving adjuvant chemotherapy: a retrospective cross-sectional study
CONCLUSIONS: The use of NSS in children with unilateral WT has increased over the last two decades. Tumor size is an important influencing factor for the surgical application of NSS. Patients who underwent NSS had an equivalent OS compared with the overall group of patients with unilateral tumors who received RN.PMID:38375715 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202402_35346 (Source: Pharmacological Reviews)

Up-regulation of lncRNA WT1-AS ameliorates A β-stimulated neuronal injury through modulation of miR-186-5p/CCND2 axis in Alzheimer's disease
Cell Mol Biol (Noisy-le-grand). 2024 Jan 31;70(1):200-206. doi: 10.14715/cmb/2024.70.1.27.ABSTRACTAs a common neurodegenerative disorder, Alzheimer's disease (AD) seriously threatens human life. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) exhibit essential functions in AD development. Nevertheless, the detailed effects and possible mechanisms of lncRNA Wilms tumor 1 Antisense RNA (WT1-AS) in AD are largely unknown. In our studies, a total of 30 serum samples from AD patients were collected, and WT1-AS expressions were detected through qRT-PCR analysis. Additionally, an in vitro AD model was constructed by treating Aβ1-42 in human neur...
