AbstractThe monoclonal antibody (mAb) IP5B11, which is used worldwide for the diagnosis of viral haemorrhagic septicaemia (VHS) in fish, reacts with all genotypes of VHS virus (VHSV). The mAb exceptionally also reacts with thecarpione rhabdovirus (CarRV). Following next generation genome sequencing of CarRV and N protein sequence alignment including five kinds of fish novirhabdoviruses, the epitope recognized by mAb IP5B11 was identified. Is procalcitonin a reliable indicator of sepsis in spinal cord injury patients: an observational cohort study
ConclusionIn SCI individuals, there was a correlation between serum PCT levels and septicaemia. Alongside this, PCT appeared to be more consistent throughout the study population when compared with CRP and WBC. Causes of death in endometrial cancer survivors: A Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Result –based analysis
ConclusionsFor patients with EC, the number of deaths from non-cancer causes (mainly heart disease, cerebrovascular disease and diabetes mellitus) is equivalent to that of EC. In addition, compared with the general population, EC survivors have a higher risk of death from sepsis and diabetes. These discoveries support how survivors can avoid future-related health risks. We examined alterations in the host proteome during MAS (caused by Aeromonas hydrophila (Ah) infection in Labeo rohita liver tissue to find cellular proteins and processes affected by Ah infection. Upregulated proteins belong to innate immune system, signaling of B cell receptor, proteosome pathway, ribosome, carbon metabolism and protein processing. Surveillance of invasive meningococcal disease in southern Brazil: considerations of an immunization programme
This study aimed to determine the epidemiological profile of IMD in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná, three states in southern Brazil. We analysed 1024 IMD cases that had been confirmed by clinical and/or laboratory criteria and reported to the national information system for notifiable diseases between 2015 and 2019.
