Did I make a mistake when expressing my professional interests?
In my applications to highly-ranked, research-heavy schools, I made clear my interest in both research and rural medicine. Was this a mistake? In hindsight, I feel like I should have kept the latter part under wraps, because it sorta implies that I don’t have an interest in academia (which I don’t, but I’d still like to contribute to clinical research). Would working OOS to help out with the COVID crisis look bad? NY resident
I'm an ICU nurse, and I have a 3month break until spring. So I was thinking about going to Cali or Texas to help out with their COVID-19 crisis since NY is not as bad anymore. I'm a NY resident and applied to several instate schools. I also have one II from rural Philly. Would it make it look like I don't want to stay in NY or Northeast region? Should I not risk it? Thank you!! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

The patient is 80 and relatively healthy, but doesn't want surgery, and isn't really interested in driving somewhere to meet with interventional radiology, or for that matter a hepatolgist... I want the hospital admin role - it aligns with my passions and goals and preferred work environment. However, I love the location of my current city. It’s a great place to live. I have been offered a local start up retail job at my current city in a clinic. I asked about tech support, they said it’s will be a solo operation until the volume supports the work. They...
