Under-Representation for Female Cancers in Commercial Auto-Segmentation Solutions and Open-Source Imaging Datasets
CONCLUSION: Commercial auto-segmentation solutions and open-source imaging datasets together include considerably more datasets, tumor sites and consequently more OAR auto-segmentations pertaining to male cancers compared to female cancers. Despite a 1.4 times higher incidence for female cancers (breast: 300,590; female pelvis: 114,810; male cancer: 299,540; Siegel RL et al CA Cancer J Clin 2023), auto-segmentation models are lacking, and this gender disparity is likely to lead to suboptimal care for female-specific cancers.PMID:37784423 | DOI:10.1016/j.ijrobp.2023.06.236 (Source: Clinical Prostate Cancer)

HCG supplement did not accelerate tunica albuginea remodeling to facilitate penile growth
Sci Rep. 2023 Oct 2;13(1):16519. doi: 10.1038/s41598-023-38888-y.ABSTRACTPenile size is closely concerned and short penis contributes serious sexual dysfunction and tremendous psychological problems to couples. Androgen is essential for penile development and testosterone replacement is recommended to patients with micropenis. We previously proved that inhibiting activity of lysyl oxidase (Anti-lysyl oxidase, Anti-LOX) combined with vacuum erectile device (VED) lengthened penis by remodeling tunica albuginea. We thus explored whether HCG supplement could accelerate tunica albuginea remodeling (induced by Anti-LOX + VED) to...

Cancers, Vol. 15, Pages 4807: Penile-Sparing Surgery for Tumour Recurrence after Previous Glansectomy/Partial Penectomy: Treatment Feasibility and Oncological Outcomes
In conclusion, we reported the results of a preliminary analysis testing safety, feasibility, and early oncological outcomes of PSS procedures for patients with local recurrence after previous glansectomy or partial penectomy. Stronger oncological outcomes should be tested in other series to optimise patient selection. (Source: Cancers)

The Role of Her-2 in Penile Squamous Cell Carcinoma Progression and Cisplatin Chemoresistance and Potential for Antibody-Drug Conjugate-Based Therapy
Cisplatin-based chemotherapy has been the first choice for advanced penile squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) in the last decade, bu its utility is limited by the low response rate, systemic toxicity and chemoresistance, which contribute to a poor prognosis. There is no standard second-line therapy for advanced PSCC. Her-2-targeted antibody –drug conjugates (ADCs) are novel low-toxicity agents which have greatly improved clinical outcomes for several advanced cancers. We aimed to explore the expression pattern, clinical significance, and oncogenic roles of Her-2 and the therapeutic potential of Her-2-targeted ADCs in PSCC. (...
