Comparative study on the occurrence of adverse effects in the concomitant use of azathioprine and aldehyde oxidase inhibitors
CONCLUSION: Concomitant use of AO inhibitors increased the signals for AZA-induced adverse effects. To date, no studies have evaluated the clinical importance of AO as a drug-metabolizing enzyme, and further in vitro and clinical research is needed to clarify the contribution of AO to the pharmacokinetics of thiopurines.PMID:38097359 | DOI:10.1080/14740338.2023.2295976 (Source: Expert Opinion on Drug Safety)

Molecules, Vol. 28, Pages 8079: Water-Soluble Polyoxometal Clusters of Molybdenum (V) with Pyrazole and Triazole: Synthesis and Study of Cytotoxicity and Antiviral Activity
Michael A. Shestopalov Among well-studied and actively developing compounds are polyoxometalates (POMs), which show application in many fields. Extending this class of compounds, we introduce a new subclass of polyoxometal clusters (POMCs) [Mo12O28(μ-L)8]4− (L = pyrazolate (pz) or triazolate (1,2,3-trz or 1,2,4-trz)), structurally similar to POM, but containing binuclear Mo2O4 clusters linked by bridging oxo- and organic ligands. The complexes obtained by ampoule synthesis from the binuclear cluster [Mo2O4(C2O4)2(H2O)2]2− in a melt of an organic ligand are soluble and stable in...

Neutral Chromium Complex with a Cr ≡Si Triple Bond: Synthesis and Photoinduced H-H and Benzene C-H Bond Activation
Chemistry. 2023 Dec 13:e202303765. doi: 10.1002/chem.202303765. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA neutral silylyne complex with a Cr≡Si triple bond was prepared by dehydrogenation of a chromium silylene complex with Cr-H and Si-H bonds, and was isolated as monomeric crystals, unlike dimeric forms of its tungsten and molybdenum congeners. The strong Cr(δ-)-Si(δ +) bond polarity was revealed by the reaction with MeOH and DFT calculations. The chromium silylyne complex reacted with H2 under LED (365 nm) irradiation to reproduce the precursor silylene complex with a (H)Cr=Si(H) moiety, as a result of 1,2-H-H addition across ...

Regulation of Sulfur Atoms in MoSx by Magneto ‐Electrodeposition for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction
A feasible method is reported to synthesize amorphous MoSx with more active sites under magnetic fields. Owing to the magneto-hydrodynamic effect, the loading mass of MoSx is obviously increased, and the terminal S2 − serving as the active site is enhanced. The MoSx synthesized by electrodeposited under a 5 T magnetic field exhibits excellent hydrogen evolution reaction performance. AbstractCompared with crystalline molybdenum sulfide (MoS2) employed as an efficient hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalyst, amorphous MoSx exhibits better activity. To synthesize amorphous MoSx, electrodeposition serving as a convenient ...

Elaboration and characterization of molybdenum titanium tungsto-phosphate towards the decontamination of radioactive liquid waste from < sup > 137 < /sup > Cs and < sup > 85 < /sup > Sr
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Dec 8. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-31104-4. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe crystalline phase of molybdenum titanium tungsto-phosphate (MoTiWPO4) as an inorganic sorbent material was synthesized via the sol-gel method. The physicochemical characteristics of MoTiWPO4 were evaluated by using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), thermal analysis (TGA-DTA), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). MoTiWPO4 sorbent material exhibits a high chemical resistance to HNO3, HCl, and alkaline media. MoTiWPO4 has good thermal stability as it retained a...

Phase-Regulated Active Hydrogen Behavior on Molybdenum Disulfide for Electrochemical Nitrate-to-Ammonia Conversion
Angew Chem Int Ed Engl. 2023 Dec 7:e202315109. doi: 10.1002/anie.202315109. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTElectrochemical reduction of nitrate waste is promising for environmental remediation and ammonia preparation. This process includes multiple hydrogenation steps, and thus the active hydrogen behavior on the surface of the catalyst is crucial. The crystal phase refers to the atomic arrangements in crystals that have a great effect on active hydrogen, but the influence of the crystal phase on nitrate reduction is still unclear. Herein, enzyme-mimicking MoS2 in different crystal phases (1T and 2H) are used as models. The...

Serum and urinary essential trace elements in association with major depressive disorders: a case –control study
ConclusionsThe higher levels of I, Se, Cu, and Mo in serum might be protective against the development of MDD, and the excess I and Zn in urine may be associated with MDD pathogenesis. Future research needs to gain a deeper understanding of the metabolic pathways of ETEs, especially I, Se, Zn, Cu, and Mo, in MDD, and their role in the pathogenesis of depression.
