I've done research in nutrition/gut microbiology for 4 years and definitely want to continue doing lots of research in med school (preferably still in this area). Hey Guys, i am in the process of interviewing for 2025 GI job.
I was wondering if anybody had the latest MGMA data about median/75th percentile wRVU and and the median/75th percentile compensation. I am located in the Midwest.

Chronic cough question from Pulmonologist to GI doctors
Hello GI doctors
I have an honest question about community GI setups regarding getting esophageal manometry and 24 hour pH probe Bravo studies.
As a pulmonologist I see a lot of chronic cough.
After I have gone through the checklist of asthma/COPD/bronchiectasis/structural lung disease and done all of my PFTs, FENOs, bronchoprovocation testing, and CT chests, I am often still confronted with GERD

Matched at a place with low scope volume, how can I prep for private practice?
I matched at a place where fellows graduate with 600 total endoscopies including both EGD and colonoscopy. My goal is to go into private practice but unfortunately can't control the match algorithm. How can I make the best of the time I do have during fellowship to get additional volume/get good at endoscopy? Is there any other way for me to practice colonoscopies or get additional volume? Hello,
Need advice on job situation. I did an advanced endo fellowship and joined hospital employed position to build basic advanced endoscopy practice. Referral base is from 6 general GIs and some surgery groups around.
Last year did close to 250 EUSs and 150 ERCPs. Few stenting, 10 Axios, lots of EMRs and almost no Barrett's.

Edible glitter?
Hi all,
I moderate over in the pain forums and am scheduled Friday for my 3 year colonoscopy.
Hoping to brighten the day of my GI doc and was wondering if edible glitter (maybe a teaspoon) would ruin the scope?
It will be our third scope together and I see him regularly in my office (as a colleague) as we have a GI ASC down the hall from my procedure suite.
