An observation on fluids and heart failure
I have been thinking recently about fluid therapy and heart failure and wonder whether we are sometimes overly cautious. Let me explain my thinking and see if you agree. Now take the same situation but make it someone with a poor EF. We might be inclined to go much more slowly. But is this really necessary? Or take the... Expensive Top 20 (60k) vs Cheaper Mid-Tier (30k)
I know there is a similar thread comparing low to mid tiers but I'd like to know if the same rules apply when it is a top 20 school. Who knows where I'll end up but my top three interests right now are ENT, EM and gastroenterology, if that matters. Also, there is a chance I could get even more scholarship from the mid tier school but virtually none with the top 20. Liked both schools equally - fit felt about the same and so did location. Opinions? EDIT: guess my question is the... Expensive Top 20 (60k) vs Cheaper Mid-Tier (30k) (Source: Student Doctor Network)

I am premed at one of the top 5 universities in the world. I was also diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases (Hashimoto's thyroiditis, gastritis and pernicious anemia as well as some other issues that I'm... Transplant Hepatology
What's the reason for being trained in gastroenterology to apply for the ABIM certified transplant hepatology fellowship? Like what does the GI fellowship offer that makes it helpful for transplant hepatology I know there are training programs that you can do after IM residency, but those are non-ABIM.
