Looking for unfilled fellowship positions (accredited/non-accredited)
Hello, I am an ECFMG-certified physician with 2+ years of ACGME-accredited residency experience from Harvard-affiliated training programs in General Surgery (2 years) and Anesthesia (6 months) and an MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. I made a series of bad decisions and chose the wrong specialty but I want to reinvent myself and pursue medicine followed by GI. I am planning to apply for the 2020 IM match. However, given that I have been away from clinical practice for a... ppl who wrote GI boards this year
What did you guys think about the board exam last wednesday? I felt miserable halfway through the first block, that kept getting worse and worse. Lotsa basic physiology questions. Not much from Steinberg course. Any study material that proved to be useful? I am starting to prepare for next year's board exam (Source: Student Doctor Network)

“Can’t come in; I am sick”
We have a doc in our group that has “called out” for things like a gastroenteritis and pneumonia. As horrible as it is I have found it annoying at times because it puts everyone under a lot of stress to cover her. It seems to be an unspoken rule in my group that you don’t just “call out” because you’re sick. “In the hospital” type of sick is different (although one of my coworkers did work through appendicitis and then admitted himself after his shift, but I digress). I am talking about cold... “Can’t come in; I am sick” (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Advanced endoscopy fellowship
I started working for my GI fellowship on day 1 of residency. I just matched into GI and I want to do the same thing for advanced fellowship. As I am an IMG on a visa, I want to be organized in the way I approach this fellowship. Any suggestions on what I should do to maximize my chances of matching in advanced? Require Advise on Fellowship for my Spouse
Good Morning All! I am trying to help my wife be better positioned to apply for match the 3rd time. She has gone through two cycles of fellowship match and both times didn't get an interview. We live in the New York Area, which I know is tough to match in. She applied all over the Northeast, South (Florida), and East (Ohio). She is done with her residency and passed her boards. She wants to match into GI, but I feel she doesn't know exactly who could help or where to work to be better... Require Advise on Fellowship for my Spouse (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Acuphagia- or swallowing sharp objects
Hello, I'm a psychotherapist working with someone who has acuphagia, which is the ingestion of sharp objects. I'm suspecting that if anyone has experienced this, gastroenterologists would know as the sharp objects may get inbedded in the digestive track. I've found a few instances on the internet, but am wondering if anyone here has found clients with this problem. Have any of you experienced this? If not, do you have an idea of how I might reach a broader audience of gasteroenteroligists... Acuphagia- or swallowing sharp objects (Source: Student Doctor Network)
