URM (latina) 514/3.6 - does this list of schools look good?
Hi!
I am a recent grad and submitted AMCAS last week, but am wondering which med schools I should add/remove from my current list? I am Latina and Indian and I am a Spanish speaker. I am also a WA state resident. Thank you!

Advanced endoscopy job search
Currently finishing up my GI fellowship starting advanced endoscopy fellowship in July.
My ideal job would be primarily advanced and semi academic. I know there are some places that are hospital employed positions, solely or primarily advanced, with some academic focus (teaching and research)
Some general advice for job hunting for advanced jobs would be great.
Specifically I was wondering 1. When to start looking for jobs 2. How I should go about reaching out to places.

OMS1: Wondering about heme/onc fellowship competitiveness/planning for the future.
I was wondering about my chances of matching into heme/onc later.
From what I can tell, Heme/Onc is competitive but I don't know where it fits on the scale of other residencies/fellowships.
is it like:
Gastro>General Surgery>Radiology>Heme/Onc>Anesthesia>IM>Neurology>FM

Mayo Clinic ARZ Gastroenterology Elective
Hello! I was recently accepted into the 4-week Gastroenterology elective at Mayo Clinic Arizona. However, they state in the acceptance email that they do not provide letters of recommendation.
"Students receive a breadth of experience working with various physicians on the hospital service. Due to the limited time frame students spend with each physician, letters of recommendation are not provided at the end of the rotation."

Fellowship programs with good work-life balance?
applying into GI this upcoming cycle and wondering if there is information out there re: what programs have a good work-life balance, and conversely terrible balance? obviously we can't be that picky in applying, but I'm already feeling the burnout of putting life on hold for training. Time slots for endoscopy
What do you think is the ideal time slot for EGD’s and Colons. I’ve seen every procedure for 20 min, every procedure for 30 min, every procedure gets 40. I feel like 30 min slots are ideal. 20 min is a bit crazy and 40 min is excessive. Haven’t seen a place do different times for EGD Vs colon.
