statistical help needed by Internal medicine resident interested in GI
Hi, I am 1st year Internal medicine resident who will be going into 2nd year at a community hospital. I was interested in gastroenterology. I wanted to do some National Inpatient sample study and some meta- analysis. I needed help by someone who could help us with the statistics part. We have questions that can be answered by meta- analysis. I do have a few case reports already published. If some one helps us with the statistics then we would be willing to even share the multiple case... statistical help needed by Internal medicine resident interested in GI (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How to Self-Design a GI Rotation for Medical School?
Hi folks, I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post this question, but I figured you all would be the best resource. I'm an M4 who will be starting a GI rotation next month. The coordinator has directly told me that they are pretty flexible and can design the rotation around what I want to get out of the rotation. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions regarding cool and interesting stuff I should try to see/do? Clinically, I like inpatient medicine and procedures... Procedural logs
How is everyone logging procedures? I’m interested in what employers look for when reviewing these logs. Do they just care about how many EGDs, colos etc you do? Or is it more so I’ve done X polypetomies, banded X EVs? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Step 2 CK Score Lower than Step 1
Not really sure how it happen tbh. UWorld 1st pass; 68% - 2nd pass 87% UWSA 1: 251 UWSA2: 249 Real deal: 226 Step 1: 231 I decreased 5 points and I am extremely disappointed in myself. I honestly have no idea what happen. I am sure this decrease will come up in interviews and I have no explanation for it. I am going for IM and am sure I will match, but I also want a decent program to be able to do Gastro. I am sure my reaches before are not attainable now and I also don't want a low tier... Anyone else out there that loves haldol as much as myself?
During residency, my attendings never allowed me to use it outside of the few that kept relatively up-to-date with the literature, and then they only let me use it for gastroparesis or refractory migraines. Since becoming an attending, I probably use this stuff 2-3x per shift. It is absolutely amazing how much of a life saver this medication has been. What were once frequent difficult patient interactions, now these patients leave satisfied that their pain is well controlled. I actually... Anyone else out there that loves haldol as much as myself? Advice on how to mention publications on ERAS
Hello everyone, I have conducted a study for which I presented the findings at 2 separate national conferences resulting in 2 published abstracts and 1 oral presentation. This also has been published in a journal. Is it okay to list ALL of these on ERAS? Or listing multiple published abstracts, poster presentations, oral presentations, and journal publication related to a single study considered padding in the eyes of a fellowship committee reviewer? I have heard mixed responses to this... Advice on how to mention publications on ERAS (Source: Student Doctor Network)
