Worth it to present poster abstract in person at conference?
I’m a third year med student and my abstract got accepted to a prestigious conference for a different field than I want to do residency in for a “Poster Presentation (Onsite) and ePoster.” My school has awarded me a travel scholarship to attend the conference, that will only reimburse me for my actual travel expenses. Match ortho from community program?
I am a rising M1 at a small, community school that is focused on getting their students into rural FM residencies.
How can I maximize my chances of marching into orthopedics. We don’t have a home ortho program and only had 5 ortho matches in the past match cycle.
I’m doing ortho research and had a poster at a national conference and have 2 publications in the works (2nd author & 3rd author) but what are other ways that I can maximize my chances?
Obviously step 1 isn’t an option for me...

Poster presentation vs Abstract listing for ERAS
If I did a poster presentation for a national conference, and this conference's society also publishes the abstracts as a supplementary to their journal, would this be listed as BOTH a poster presentation and an abstract for ERAS? Or would I just list it as an abstract?
A thread from way back (ERAS 'Publications' Listing FAQ) said you can double dip and listed as both, but want to check on this as it seems sort of sketchy. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Hot off the press, from APP’s ‘big announcement’ conference call today. I didn’t attend but heard from colleagues.
I’m shocked. Don’t know how SCP managed to pull this off. Their finances aren’t horrible, but not great either, and they’re a much smaller company without much PE money.

Why do(n't) you go to the APA Conference?
I'm just trying to see why people do/don't go to the APA Conference. I've heard mixed responses about it in general. I'm going to this upcoming one and just wanted to hear people's thoughts.

Assistance finding clinical research jobs as a recent graduate.
First time poster on SDN. I'm a recent graduate in BME looking for a 1-2 year job in clinical research to help bolster my med school application (plan on applying next cycle). Hey all, current M4 shooting for PM&R this coming cycle. Have around 20ish journal publications and 10 conference presentations. Out of these, only two are PM&R specific (an experimental trial involved stroke patients for rehab trial). A couple of them are sports science/med related. The majority of the rest are surgery-related animal/basic science studies that I still pump out papers up until today. Also received grants and funding for these projects as the lead investigator.

Question about my research quantity
Hello everyone,
I will be starting medical school this fall at an MD school. Going into medical school, I will have 3 abstracts presented at major conferences to my name, and I expect to have at least 1 publication and 1-2 abstracts added as well.
