Making a New School List
This past application cycle, I applied to a lot more research-heavy schools than I had thought. My background is not too research-heavy, but more education, service, and advocacy-heavy. Background: I worked in one lab (6mo), did an independent honors thesis (1yr) and presented both projects at a conference. I also volunteered with a student-run clinic (2.5yr), taught special education math in low-income area (2yr going on 3). I am a Hawai'i resident. Do you guys know any schools that are... What cardiology conference to present research at?
I'm a graduating 4th year med student with several publications I'm hoping to submit to and present at national cardiology conferences. What conferences would you recommend that look the best on fellowship applications? I don't have a cardiologist as a coauthor on the papers so cannot ask for guidance on appropriate cards conferences. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Anyone else have conferences/travel plans/funding cancelled?
My institution's travel department has put an automatic "Deny all travel funding within the next 30 days" response. For a conference I've already booked and paid for. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Acvim 2020
Hey everyone, Wondering if anyone is attending ACVIM this year? I will be attending and it will be my first time attending ACVIM and only my second conference in the US. I will be moving from Australia to San Francisco to start my internship in July and will pretty much be dropping my bags off and heading straight for the conference. Looking forward to it! Just starting to look into the accomodation options now, and what else I can explore on the weekend following the conference. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Double count research?
Hi all, quick question about reporting research on my CV and for residency. First off can or should one include research done as an undergraduate? Second can research that was presented twice such as the same poster presented at two separate conferences or a publication and a poster about the same research be listed twice or as one experience in the residency application. Just trying to gauge how many projects I actually have and will need to have in the few few years. Thanks! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Recently changed from pre-PhD to pre-MD/PhD. I will be finishing my sophomore year in April. Let me know if it would be advisable to apply in a year or if I should wait 2 years and take a gap year. Future things: presenting a couple more posters this semester. presenting at national conference in Fall 2020. Taking on a LOT more... Apply after 2 years of research or take a gap year?
