Conference acceptance, worth an update?
I had two posters accepted to the leading conference in its field. One poster as first/presenting and another as a minor author. Is this worth sending an update to schools, or should I wait until later in the cycle? Thank you! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Research Symposium vs Conference (Conflict of Interest..?)
Due to the funding I received from my institution for my study, I am obligated to present a poster at their research symposium. I also want to submit this abstract to another research conference, but the guideline for this one is that the abstract or info should not be presented in conferences other than this one. "Abstracts submitted to AATS Annual Meeting may not be presented or published by any other entity outside of AATS Annual Meeting prior to selection notification by the Planning... How do you interact with others in the profession?
I work in a hospital setting and have several colleagues I speak to. But I don’t network outside of that realm much at all. Other than this site, how else do you interact with others in our field? Do you attend conferences regularly? Other websites, forums, listservs? Do you regularly read journals or other publications? My experience with psychology websites is they are inundated with people who have mental health issues rather than fellow psychologists. Conferences seem to be geared more... Is anyone going to this conference or has anyone been in the past? It is February 10-14 next year. It seems like a great location, I have never been. Also- does this go towards credit for WMS? I know it is a different society, but did not know if they worked together in any capacity. WAMC as re-applicant: 3.7 GPA, 519 MCAT
I’m a re-applicant from last cycle after getting 1 II --> W --> R. Most of my secondaries are submitted so I have nothing to do now but give into my neuroticism and post here. The main things that have changed since my last app: my volunteer and clinical experience (besides shadowing) were previously pretty non-existent and I recently had a presentation at a big conference in my field of interest. I applied to 35 schools with a mix of T20s, T50s, while trying to keep in mind residency bias... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Question About Updating Schools Regarding Conference Abstract
Hi everyone, I just found out this morning that my abstract has been accepted to an international conference (the abstract is being published in the proceedings). Because I am also the first author on this abstract, I wanted to let medical schools know about the status of the abstract. I did not include information about the abstract in my AMCAS/TMDSAS primary application since I hadn't submitted it then. What is the best way to update schools? I know that some schools give you the... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Is Neurology World Conference (NWC 2023) a legitimate/non-predatory conference?
I just got invited to speak at Neurology World Conference (NWC 2023) (website: www.neurologyworldconference.com/) by Precision Global Conferences and offered a 50% discount to register. After scanning the website, I'm not completely sure what this is. You know what that means. It's time to play another round of "Is it a legitimate professional conference, speaking at which will look impressive on the ol' ERAS residency app, or is it considered predatory, and will including...
