New Cyclomucidoside C from Astragalus mucidus
A new cycloartane-type triterpene glycoside that was called cyclomucidoside C was isolated from the aerial part of the plantAstragalus mucidus Bunge. Its chemical structure was elucidated based on1H and13C NMR spectral data (COSY, HSQC, HMBC). Studies of extracts ofA. mucidus and cyclomucidoside C did not show antibacterial activity against the three strainsEscherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus, andPseudomonas aeruginosa. Traditional Chinese medicine for gastric cancer: An evidence mapping
This study aimed to analyze the advantages of TCM interventions for gastric cancer by the method of evidence mapping. We searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Scientific Journals Database, and Wanfang Database for systematic reviews of TCM treating gastric cancer up to December 31, 2023. We used Excel, Endnote 20, and Python software for the analysis of incorporated studies. We assessed the quality of included SRs by AMSTAR-2 and performed evidence mapping including 89 SRs, 1648 RCTs and 122,902 patients, identifying 47 types of interventions and 39 types of outcomes. Fro...

Improvement of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis through a combination of < em > Astragalus < /em > radix and < em > Angelica sinensis < /em > radix via mammalian target of rapamycin signaling pathway-induced autophagy in rat
CONCLUSIONS: The combination of AR and AS protects against IPF by inducing autophagy via inhibiting the mTOR signaling pathway. The synergistic action of AR and AS is superior to that of either AR or AS alone.PMID:38505077 | PMC:PMC10944740 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-24-28 (Source: Journal of Thoracic Disease)
