What order do Adcoms send interview invites out?
Current MD applicant here wondering which applicants Adcoms prioritize sending II's to first. Are applicants ordered by completion date, super high stats, X factors, or something else? I'm a bit concerned bc I believe I have a decent application: 3.86/519, scribing, independent research with poster, 4 semesters of TA experience, conduct board, worked in a recycling factory. Currently an undergrad senior at T20 school. I applied somewhat top heavy: Mayo, Stanford, Duke, Yale, UPenn, Emory... What order do Adcoms send interview invites out? Graveyard Flex
The headstone on the left reminds me of certain people in healthcare with the ridiculous alphabet soup embroidered on their white coats. The guy put his CV on his headstone. The one on the right says more with fewer words....etc Etc. in the Graveyard - Freakonomics From my office window, I have a glorious view of the Grove Street Cemetery, where Yale students often go to read. By far, my favorite spot in this vast city of monuments is near the end of Cedar Avenue, past the graves of Eli Whitney and Noah Webster. There, just beyond the inte...

Med Schools w/o class rank
Sorry if this is somewhere else on here, but does anyone have a list of med school that don't do class rank or are pass/fail or any kind of more relaxed grading format? I know Yale does but idk any others. I go to an undergrad that greatly deemphasizes grades (Reed College) and don't want to lose that collaboration over competition vibe in med school. 4th year auditions
Hey 4th years/residents/attendings, I am an M3 at a DO school looking to match the highest tier academic IM program I can get into as a DO (which usually doesn't end up surpassing mid-tier unfortunately) and was wondering if auditions would be very important for me to do next year. My goal programs are Yale, Gtown, Wake, BUMC (reach I know), Dartmouth, Brown (obviously will apply to lower tier academic programs as well but this is the tier I am shooting for). My Step 1 is a 254 and COMLEX... 4th year auditions (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Yale Ophthalmology Residency Program
Hi everyone, I’m an ophthalmology resident at Yale. With the upcoming interview season likely to be virtual, I wanted to help people get to know our program. I recall being a med student and having trouble learning anything about the programs I was applying to in advance, so here’s an honest firsthand account. Several residents contributed to this together. Teaching: Having worked with the faculty here for several years, I can sincerely say that all my attendings are approachable... Does my IA ruin my chances at med school?
3.68 sGPA, 503 & 522 MCAT scores Long story less long; i got too drunk at my first homecoming experience in 2017. I took the basic online alcohol ed class. I forgot to include this to my AMCAS and secondaries so I sent updates to secondaries/emailed admissions that don't have that option. Will this IA ruin any minimal chance I had to top schools like cornell, yale, mount sinai, or any med school tbh? Yes, it is on my student record bc I just emailed my undergrad institution yesterday to... Does my IA ruin my chances at med school? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Applying to Top Med Schools with AP Credit?
I was wondering if any of y'all have had the same troubles I have had this cycle. I believed my high schools advisors when they told me to take as many AP credit's as possible, among them AP Chemistry, Physics, English, Calc, and Stats. The extra credits I came in let me double major and minor, however now I'm beginning to see a big problem. Among the schools I am applying to, it looks like schools like Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and Cornell all have problems with certain AP credit classes. I... Applying to Top Med Schools with AP Credit? 519 MCAT with solid ECs, worried about sGPA (3.6, upward trend)
I had a preliminary list from SDN, but after talking with my undergrad advisor I am unsure if I am overestimating my app. She suggested that I apply mostly to schools where my sGPA is at the median, but due to my freshman year literally no school on my current list has a median of 3.6. I am wondering if I should restructure my current list. I did take off Yale and Vandy based on matriculation GPA from my undergrad. Current list: Harvard Stanford NYU WashU Mayo Northwestern Columbia Duke... 519 MCAT with solid ECs, worried about sGPA (3.6, upward trend) (Source: Student Doctor Network)
