MD Chances? cGPA: 3.84, 32 MCAT, Late Applicant
Hey guys, I'm new here and don't really know what I should include in this so any help would be appreciated.
I took the MCAT twice and to my disappointment got a 31Q (PS:11, VR:8, BS: 12) and a 32 (PS: 14, VR: 7, BS:11).
My cGPA is a 3.84, and because I submitted my app so late (a few days ago) I don't know exactly what my sGPA is exactly but from my own calculations it's a 3.87 while I majored in Neuroscience.

MD/PhD Prompts 2013-2014
If you are an MD/Phd applicant, please post all the questions for the secondaries you receive. I've been trying to collect them individually from the 2013-2014 MD Secondaries thread, but this seems more efficient. I'm including schools that have all the same prompts for MD/PhD as MD, so that people don't have to worry that they're missing the PhD questions if they look at the MD Secondaries thread. MD Need help with schools. 3.806 cgpa 38 MCAT
Hi everyone, here are my stats:
3.85 cGPA, 3.86 sGPA
38 MCAT (12 PS, 11 VR, 15 BS)
Non-URM
CA resident
Clinical Experiences:
-175 hours volunteering in the ER
-75 total shadowing hours (50 hours shadowing internist and 25 hours ER physician)
Research:
-1 year in lab learning molecular techniques but didn't actually get to do so much research. It was pretty much all the grit work so I left
-1.5 years (and continuing) in an immunoparasitology lab studying toxoplasma gondii and its interactions with the immune system. Got a $400 grant and presented at university symposium.

I don't know how to rank NYU vs. Yale vs. UVA, which of these is regarded to have the "better" neurology program in general.
