Why don't we have more dental schools?
I understand that some schools may not be able to open dental schools due to limited funding, but how about large well-established schools? For example, Johns Hopkins and Yale both have great medical schools, how hard would it be for them to open dental schools?

Internal Medicine Matching for IMG
Hello,
I know this question have been asked many times over here, but I still would prefer to ask it from my own point of view.
1- I would like to know what are my chances as an IMG to get matched into one of the top-tier programs in IM (i.e: John Hopkins, UCSF, Duke, Yale... etc)?
2- Is there a minimum USMLE step 1 used by these program directors as a cut-off?
3- If I got matched into IM program, should I also be worried later on about getting a fellowship in Cardiology, as is this...

Full Cost of Attendance at Mount Sinai vs. Yale?
Hello all!
This is my first post on SDN. I'm hoping to receive some advice on my medical school decision. I have been fortunate enough to have received admission to Yale and Mount Sinai, among other schools this cycle. Below is some of my background, as well as my pros/cons. What are your thoughts on these programs, I'm having some trouble ranking them. I am from Cali and plan on practicing there in the future, most likely want to do academia but not sure.

Really depressed about match; what to do?
So I switched from interest in a more competitive specialty to IM and one of the things I was excited about was going to a good program for residency. So I ranked 4 good West Coast programs at the top, then after that had 3 top east coast programs (MGH, JHH, Duke) then 2 top midwest programs, but somehow I fell all the way to my #10, Yale.
