Warning For those applying to podiatry school:
Let me just say one thing to those thinking they should go to podiatry school. Do not. I've been practicing for years and I ask you to crunch the numbers for a second. you can expect possibly to make as much as a fast food manager with twice the workload, 10x the stress and 300,000x the debt. if your applying to be a "doctor" you are being prideful. that is all. Is it okay to have a medical doctor write a letter of recommendation for me for pharmacy school admission?
The discussion title explains my question. I shadowed this medical doctor 7 years ago. It seems crazy to say that because time really does fly by. It does not seem like it was that long ago. Plans have changed for me, and I am applying to pharmacy school. I was originally planning to attend medical school, but competition to get in stateside was too high and I heeded warning not to attend offshore at any for-profit school. I wonder if a PharmD admissions committee would view the letter as... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Help!! Late step 2 or take a research year?
I am in a situation where I will not be able to take step2 until the second week of October, and I'm applying for internal medicine this cycle. I planned to send in ERAS on time and update programs with my score when it is released. I have solid research and extracurriculars, and about half H/HP on clinical rotations. Great letters and clerkship evals. People are warning me that most programs fill up their interviews within the first couple of weeks, and I'm not likely to get any without a... Neurotherm needles
Which needles are compatible with Neurotherm? Does anyone have a chart for that? Abbott, with no warning, has increased the cost of a box of 10 RFA needles from $140 to $300. We didn't realize it. I will not be buying from them again. Does anyone know what other needles that RFA generator can use? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
