25 yr old banker looking to make a career change...how realistic is it?
I've been working on Wall Street for several years since graduating college. Lately I've been deeply unfulfilled, and know that I won't last in finance and have to switch careers. In considering other options and talking to others in a variety of fields, nothing really stands out to me as something I could be content doing for the rest of my life as much as medicine. I've lurked these forums and seen the warnings about the long road ahead, declining comp, changing landscape....but all in all... 25 yr old banker looking to make a career change...how realistic is it? New study on trigger warnings
The Latest Study on Trigger Warnings Finally Convinced Me They’re Not Worth It That doesn’t mean people’s requests to be treated with care can’t be heeded. slate.com I'm seeing a lot of discussions about this article on social media. Many people, for instance, are upset and feel the study is not valid because it did not provide the option to avoid the material. I'd love to hear thoughts from fellow psychology people, especially trauma folks. Btw, the actual... New study on trigger warnings (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Strategies on how to correct otherwise good techs who are very sensitive to criticism.
"That's how we always did it and it's never been a problem!" I'm just started as a PIC at a chain pharmacy. We have three very good pharmacy techs who are accurate, friendly, and show up to work on time. However, the old PIC just ignored a lot what the corporate office wanted, but corporate couldn't get rid of him because the pharmacy is in a difficult location to staff. The techs don't bother to put the warning labels on the bottles and they don't print out the patient information sheets... A word of warning for people that use Bootcamp for the PAT (Cube counting)
Hey guys, I just wanted to provide some information that might help others. In bootcamp, if you look how the cube counting section is organized there are 3 questions per figure in order. For example Figure A has questions 1-3 . Figure B had questions 4-6 etc... However on the actual DAT (took it last month) it threw me off a little bit. The questions WERE NOT in order. For example figure A had only 2 questions, figure B had only 1 question. They might have even reused the same figure later... Does a warning letter count as an IA?
As a freshman, I received a "warning" letter from my housing dean for having alcohol in a dorm. I wasn't drinking, but one of my friends was, and he left an empty bottle in the trash in my floor common space. My RA reported it to the housing dean, who sent me a warning letter. There was no action/punishment, I never even spoke to the dean, and nothing happened beyond that letter; from what I can remember, it was just supposed to be a "warning". I heard nothing about it and ultimately... Does a warning letter count as an IA? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Institutional Action - Do I report this?
Hey guys, So I'm filling out the primary right now and stumbled upon this beautiful question: Were you ever the recipient of any institutional action by any college or medical school for unacceptable academic performance or conduct violation, even though such action may not have interrupted your enrollment or required you to withdraw? Backstory - in 2017 I received a warning for leaving a bottle of alcohol in my dorm after moving out for the summer (I know). No fine, no charges, nothing... Institutional Action - Do I report this?
