Disciplinary warning right before submitting the application
I recently was found to be responsible for violating the student conduct because of unauthorized collaboration. I worked with my friend on one of the coding assignments and turned it in because the syllabus says "You may work together, but all work must be your own" and I did not know that the work cannot be the same since it is still my own work. Long story short, I assumed the responsibility because I should've asked the professor to clarify it before turning it in and I do recognize that... Med School Kitchen Item Recs
(Not entirely sure where to post this... please move as appropriate!) Hi guys- I have about a week until my self imposed deadline to choose a medical school, and I can't decide, so I'm doing anything and everything else except for thinking about it. Just made some nice drawings this afternoon, if anyone is interested. But, more on topic, I'm going to be keeping an eye on sales this summer for some good med school kitchen items. I'm looking for any personal recs (or warnings) for: -... Med School Kitchen Item Recs (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Turn back while you still can
With saturation (Everywhere), pay cuts (Kroger), layoffs (Express Scripts), etc, why are any of you going into a field like this? There are warning signs everywhere! I know students accepted into pharmacy schools with - 3.0 gpa (That is not "Doctorate" degree material). This, hopefully, is beating a dead horse but why on earth are you purposely driving off the cliff? I'm a pharm tech with 2 years of experience with a corporate retail pharmacy. One of the pharmacists I work with regrets... Turn back while you still can (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Avoid Maimonides Surgery program unless you want to be abused. It is a Malignant program.
I think of myself as a unbiased Ortho resident, not part of surgical program at Maimonides. I'm just speaking up here as there are too many inappropriate things happening in surgical program. I feel really bad for the people in this program. I believe the residents have brought it up to ACGME multiple times and yet nothing has changed in the program. This is why I'm writing this warning post for future applicants.... Avoid Maimonides Surgery program unless you want to be abused. It is a Malignant program. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Institutional action for sub 2.0 GPA?
Hello, AACOMAS has a question on IA that reads: Have you ever been disciplined for academic performance (e.g. academic probation, dismissal, suspension, disqualification, etc.) by any college or school? Apparently whenever anyone gets less than a 2.0 GPA, you're automatically put on "academic probation". My university calls it a "warning" on their website. It doesn't show on my transcript and I was never "disciplined" for it. In fact, I never even got a letter telling me that I was on... Institutional action for sub 2.0 GPA? Applying Late? Don't!
This is a warning to all those who are considering applying late. I have 3.86 GPA from UVA. MCAT score 512. Two years of part time scribing work, and 1.5 years full time work as MA. Volunteer hours that reach triple digits. Multiple extracurricular activities. AMCAS application essays were well written and verified by reputable persons. Confident in letters of eval authors. Have 3 years of research experience and helped publish a paper. Due to scheduling conflict I had to take the MCAT... Applying Late? Don't! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Multiple questions regarding pharmacist practice
Hey guys. Warning beforehand. These are some questions I came across over the past few months. It’s going to be long, and I’m a newbie—an overthinking one especially! so if it seems dumb to you, please don’t waste your time. I thank u all in advance for any help! 1) when i get rxs for like naproxen or ibuprofen and the pt is already on aspirin 81, i never call lol. I call on class D and x interactions. Lexi shows this interaction as D-consider modification for aspirin w/nsaid but i never... Multiple questions regarding pharmacist practice (Source: Student Doctor Network)
