Need clarifications about cheating/hard plaigarism and how it affects chances in med/grad schools
[Long post warning] So this doesn't apply to me, but there's a lot of rumours about how this affects chances of higher education. Basically, at at my college (UC Davis), a lot of students got busted cheating online in all sorts of classes, and I mean A LOT. It has gotten to the point where people on reddit are are considering it not a big deal since every other post on my school's reddit sub is about someone saying they got a referral for cheating. The way the process works at my college... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Interviewer seemed disinterested -- should I worry?
Warning -- neuroticism ahead. I recently interviewed at one of my top schools, and we had two interviews. The first one (closed-file) I felt went really well, while the second one I'm feeling a bit more nervous on. The interviewer only read part of my application before we started, so there was a lot of rehashing what I had done, and the interview felt a little ... awkward(?) at times, although not unbearably so (think some pauses, conversational threads that died out). The interviewer... Interviewer seemed disinterested -- should I worry? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Anybody doing in-office child work?
We're still doing remote assessments. It actually works very well for the younger kiddos (ages 1-3) where it's the initial diagnostic eval. Not great with older/highly verbal kiddos (think ADOS-2 Mod 2 or higher), or with re-evals where I'm looking to also update cog, language, and motor skills measures. We are exploring options for in-office services. Any of you doing this in the 2-5 y.o. age range? Any advice/warnings? I'm actually VERY busy with remote assessments (this is mybsecond... Question about reporting IA
I know there are a million threads about this, but I wasn't able to find one that fit my specific situation. I contacted my school's conduct office before submitting my primary, and they told me that the only thing on my disciplinary record was a minor alcohol thing (resulted in a warning, nothing else) from freshman year. I emailed them back to confirm that this was truly the only thing on my record, and they confirmed with me yes. As a result, I selected yes for the IA prompt on AMCAS and... My Vulnerable and Personal Caribbean Medical School Journey
This is for my Pre-Meds and Non-Traditional students considering a Caribbean medical school. Fair warning, this is going to be a long post, but it will be my personal unbiased journey. I have no secret agenda; I am not trying to convince you to do one thing or another. I will be keeping it 100% real. This is NOT going to be a post completely bashing Caribbean schools like I’ve seen a few other toxic posts/comments. But this also won’t be sugar coated, “everything is just fine” post either... UDS and 2nd Chances
My boss would like me to give people second chances on their drug screens (actually said a 3 strike rule). I have an issue with this because the rules are clearly relayed to every patient who I start on meds or take over prescribing. For things like EtOH or another med prescribed by another provider I think a warning is warranted but with other things (illicits, meds off the street, etc.) I don't think there should be a strike system. How do most you all navigate these waters? It's obviously... UDS and 2nd Chances (Source: Student Doctor Network)
