OnlineMedEd and other resources
Just wanted to post up my reviews of the resources I used for Step 2 CK. What follows is my biased opinion. YMMV, so take what is said below and use your preferred learning style to find the resource(s) that work best for you. UWorld is essentially mandatory, after that it isn't as clear. My opinion is that OME and First Aid for Step 2 CK are the two best other resources out there. Warning: Massive wall of text incoming. OnlineMedEd I maintain that buying into Dr. Williams' system... Question about LOR submission.
Hey all, So I went to submit my application yesterday, but I held off because I got nervous about my evaluators not being to able to submit evaluations after I have submitted my AADSAS application. I had seen on here that evaluators CAN send them after AADSAS submission. However, when I went to check out, I received a warning that the LOR/evaluations sections would be "locked out" after submission and would not be available for edits. Am I just being paranoid? Anyone have experience with... Question about LOR submission. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Cheating at Scholl
There has been an issue of rampant cheating going on at Scholl for at least the last 2 years. More specifically, in the class of 2019 in particular. It is mostly limited to a handful of individuals. These people have been reported numerous times to the faulty by countless students. Every time, the cheaters are called in to meetings only to be let off with a warning...if that. I, myself, have not only witnessed these individuals cheat but also brag about how the faulty would never punish them... Cheating at Scholl (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Your Thoughts...
… Obviously such questions are hard to answer, but there are more and more studies coming from US warning for the competency in surgical skills of the trainees. Is there any truth to this or is it as it has always been, "our generation worked harder and were more competent than this generation of physicians/surgeons"... http://www.mdedge.com/acssurgerynew...y-identifies-gaps-surgical-trainees-readiness (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Warning to MCAT Takers: MCAT Readjusting Again? (5/13 taker)
Hi Everyone! So I just came out of the most recent MCAT (5/13, went in knowing that I would void it) and after looking through some of the comments throughout Reddit (for the past 3-4 MCAT dates) and having the experience of taking the most recent MCAT, I think it's pretty undeniable that the AAMC is quickly re-adjusting their focus once again (I'd acutally say they're balancing it better though). Obviously when the new 2015 MCAT came out it was all about the Biochem and everyone... Warning to MCAT Takers: MCAT Readjusting Again? (5/13 taker) (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What I learned from applying to MD schools this cycle!
Warning... I'm an insane rambler and this post my have nothing of substance. Also I have no idea how post organizations work... so Idk if this is even in the right place. Anyways... Hiya! I'm a longtime lurker on SDN and applied this past application cycle. I really liked having a resource/ community to fall back on when I was confused/ nervous/ anxious/ neurotic/ etc. I'm currently choosing between my state school (cheaper by a little), a top 20 school (great location, close to home), and...
