$35,000 a year salary with $215,000 student loans
Prepharms, look at this thread as a warning. Why put yourself through such a high risk only to end up owing $215k in loans? Skip pharmacy school altogether and avoid the enormous debt.

EM isn't the only thing getting scorched right now..
Burn docs in Arizona are warning the locals to beware coming into contact with things like asphalt and sidewalks due to the burn risk they pose as temperatures soar.
Apparently seven people died last year from these kinds of burns...yet the population there continues to grow at one of the fastest clips in the country. People seem to love it. What am I missing?

Should I give up on becoming a physician? (kinda longish)

Clinical Deterioration Tools
I was curious people's experience with EMR based warning systems implemented to detect clinical deterioration and trigger alarms/warnings. We are implementing one based on several instances of human error that led to poor outcomes, but the data I've seen isn't very compelling that these systems do much more than increase ICU transfers.
