Ureteral stricture rate after endoscopic treatments for urolithiasis and related risk factors: systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionsThe overall US rate ranges from 0.3 to 4.9%, with an increasing trend in the last few years. It is influenced by type of treatment, stone location and impaction, preoperative hydronephrosis and intraoperative perforation. Future standardized reporting and prospective and more extended follow-up studies might contribute to a better understanding of US risks related to calculi treatment. Is “Kidney Stone Calculator” efficient in predicting ureteroscopic lithotripsy duration? A holmium:YAG and thulium fiber lasers comparative analysis
ConclusionKSC is a reliable tool for predicting the lithotripsy duration estimation during flexible ureteroscopy for both Ho:YAG and TFL. However, some variables not including laser source may lead to underestimating this estimation. (Source: World Journal of Urology)

Outcomes and Predictors of Delayed Intervention After Renal Trauma
CONCLUSIONS: The most common delayed interventions after renal trauma were renal embolization and ureteral stent. Penetrating mechanism was not a predictor of delayed renal intervention in a trauma center that manages zone II retroperitoneal hematomas similarly regardless of mechanism.PMID:38605637 | DOI:10.1177/00031348241246164 (Source: The American Surgeon)

Sequential endoluminal gemcitabine and docetaxel vs. Bacillus Calmette-Gu érin for the treatment of upper tract carcinoma in situ
CONCLUSION: Endoluminal Gem/Doce and BCG have similar oncological outcomes and major adverse event rates in the treatment of UT-CIS. Further prospective evaluation is warranted.PMID:38609747 | DOI:10.1016/j.urolonc.2024.03.012 (Source: Urologic Oncology)
