Efficacy and safety of dienogest in the treatment of deep infiltrating endometriosis: A meta-analysis
Deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) refers to endometriosis (EMs) with an infiltration depth greater than or equal to 5 mm. It is an invasive disease that involves the uterosacral ligament, the excavatio rectouterina, vaginal vault, vaginal-rectal septum, rectum, colon wall, bladder wall, and the ureter. DIE can cause evident chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, dysuria, non-menstrual pelvic pain, local bleeding, and the obstruction of vital organs.
