Characterization of mass distribution in a biomimetic aerosol exposure system
CONCLUSIONS: We estimate the fraction of yield to the mouth deposited at several locations throughout the system for a variety of puffing and respiration topographies and show that emissions topography profile and system flow path geometry affect dose. This work provides proof-of-concept for assessing mass distribution as a function of aerosol generator (e-cigarette product), user airway geometry, and inhalation and puffing topography.PMID:38669189 | DOI:10.1080/08958378.2024.2341995 (Source: Inhalation Toxicology)

Health status in selected post-communist European countries: a comparative study between Poland and Albania
CONCLUSIONS: This analysis provides useful information about the current health status of two populations pertinent to the former Communist Bloc in CEE. While health indicators can provide important information about the differences in health status between populations, it is important to interpret these indicators in the context of the specific challenges and limitations facing each country.PMID:38669160 | DOI:10.21101/cejph.a7804 (Source: Central European Journal of Public Health)

Physical activity and mental health of medical students
CONCLUSION: A high percentage of medical faculty students (86.6%) are physically active. Differences in the level of physical activity were observed between students of these five universities as well as between students with different levels of physical activity.PMID:38669156 | DOI:10.21101/cejph.a8097 (Source: Central European Journal of Public Health)

Longitudinal leisure-time physical activity profiles throughout adulthood and related characteristics: a 36-year follow-up study of the older Finnish Twin Cohort
CONCLUSIONS: We found several longitudinal leisure-time physical activity profiles with unique changes in both sexes. Fewer profiles in females than in males remained or became low physically active during the 36-year follow-up. We observed that lower education, higher body mass index, and more smoking already in young adulthood were associated with low leisure-time physical activity profiles. However, the fact that several longitudinal profiles demonstrated a change in their physical activity behavior over time implies the potential for public health interventions to improve leisure-time physical activity levels.PMID:3867...
