Capsule biopsy of acellular dermal matrix (ADM) to predict future capsular contracture in two-stage prosthetic breast reconstruction
Capsular contracture is a common reason for implant removal in implant-based breast surgery. Acellular dermal matrix (ADM) is often placed along the inferolateral border of the pectoralis major muscle in order to prevent capsular contracture.1 Leukotriene inhibitors, including Montelukast (Singulair) and Zafirlukast (Accolate), were recently introduced in research studies as medical agents to prevent capsular contracture. [Clinical and inflammatory phenotypic features of asthmatic patients sensitive to cold stimulation].
CONCLUSIONS: The cold-sensitive asthmatic patients experience frequent recurrent and/or aggravated symptoms and have obvious lung function impairment. Different from that in patients with classic asthma, the airway inflammatory phenotype in these patients is characterized by the domination by neutrophilic subtype.

CONCLUSION: It is contemplated that, use of GTE as an adjuvant to anti leukotriene drug played a significant role in asthma management by reducing oxidant injury. Since, studies in animals do not directly translate to human biology, further multi-control studies with better sampled patient population and more number of patients is needed.
