Peculiarities of Neurological Disorders and Study Designs.
The objectives of treatments of neurodegenerative disorders include primary prevention, slowing or arrest of disease progression, and control of symptoms. Stroke is an acute clinical condition causing frequent disability and death, with only one approved treatment. There are many challenges to acute stroke clinical trials; among them, the very short therapeutic window and the issue of stroke heterogeneity. “Effects of Functional Electrical Stimulation on Reducing Falls and Improving Gait Parameters in Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke”
Conclusions The use of FES had an impact on gait, specifically reducing the number of falls and improving walking. A specific effect at the ankle joint was observed, increasing foot clearance during the swing phase of gait. This effect was not accompanied with a reduction in the energetic expenditure during walking in subjects with multiple sclerosis and stroke.

Technologically-advanced assessment of upper-limb spasticity: a pilot study.
CONCLUSIONS: By using the robotic device some spasticity parameters can be continuously recorded during the rehabilitation treatment in order to objectively measure the effectiveness of the interventions provided. A Deep Learning-Based Approach to Reduce Rescan and Recall Rates in Clinical MRI Examinations ADULT BRAIN
CONCLUSIONS: Fast, automated deep learning–based image-quality rating can decrease rescan and recall rates, while rendering them technologist-independent. It was estimated that decreasing rescans and recalls from the technologists' values to the values of deep learning could save hospitals $24,000/scanner/year.

Virtual reality during gait training: does it improve gait function in persons with central nervous system movement disorders? A systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: VR-enhanced gait training is an effective method to improve spatiotemporal and functional parameters in persons with CNS movement disorders. Current evidence supports that, in comparison to training without VR, for people post-stroke VR-enhanced gait training is more effective to improve gait function. ConclusionsSE for managing chronic conditions differs across neurologic disorders, with lowest SE for managing activities and symptoms in neuropathy, and highest in patients with epilepsy and stroke. Long-Term Effects of Whole-Body Vibration on Human Gait: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Conclusions: WBV training can be effective for improving balance and gait speed in the elderly. The intervention is also effective in improving walking performance following stroke and in patients with knee osteoarthrosis. However, no effect was found on gait quality in the elderly or on balance in stroke and multiple sclerosis patients. The results are too heterogenous in COPD to conclude on the effect of the treatment.

Finding maximally disconnected subnetworks with shortest path tractography
We present a novel method that extends current CLSM approaches by introducing a fast reliable and accurate way for computing disconnectomes, i.e. identifying damaged or lesioned connections.
