The effect of novel tyrosine-modified polyethyleneimines on human albumin structure - Thermodynamic and spectroscopic study
Colloids Surf B Biointerfaces. 2023 May 16;227:113359. doi: 10.1016/j.colsurfb.2023.113359. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe interaction of proteins with nanoparticle components are crucial for the evaluation of nanoparticle function, toxicity and biodistribution. Polyethyleneimines (PEIs) with defined tyrosine modifications are a class of novel polymers designed for improved siRNA delivery. Their interactions with biomacromolecules are still poorly described. This paper analyzes the interaction of different tyrosine-modified PEIs with human serum albumin as the most abundant serum protein. The ability of tyrosine modifie...

Molecular Characterization of U6 Promoters from Orange-Spotted Grouper (Epinephelus coioides) and Its Application in DNA Vector-Based RNAi Technology
Mar Biotechnol (NY). 2023 May 8. doi: 10.1007/s10126-023-10212-9. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe U6 promoter, a typical RNA polymerase III promoter, is widely used to transcribe small RNAs in vector-based siRNA systems. The RNAi efficiency is mainly dependent on the transcriptional activity of the U6 promoter. However, studies have found that U6 promoters isolated from some fishes do not work well in distantly related species. To isolate a U6 promoter with high transcriptional efficiency from fish, in this study, we cloned five U6 promoters in orange-spotted grouper, of which only the grouper U6-1 (GU6-1) promoter conta...

The identification and validation of target genes of IGFBP3 protein in sheep skeletal muscle cells
This study aimed to identify the target genes of IGFBP3(insulin growth factor binding protein)protein and to investigate its target genes effects on the proliferation and differentiation of Hu sheep skeletal muscle cells. IGFBP3 was an RNA-binding protein that regulates mRNA stability. Previous studies have reported that IGFBP3 promotes the proliferation of Hu sheep skeletal muscle cells and inhibits differentiation, but the downstream genes that bind to it have not been reported yet. We predicted the target genes of IGFBP3 through RNAct and sequencing data, and verified by qPCR and RIP(RNA Immunoprecipitation)expe...
