Petits ARN interf érents : applications potentielles pour les néphrologues Small interfering RNA: potential applications for nephrologists
Nephrol Ther. 2022 Dec;18(6S1):6S1-6S6. doi: 10.1016/S1769-7255(22)00646-0.ABSTRACTSmall interfering RNA (siRNAs) are double-stranded RNAs of around 20 base pairs in length that trigger RNAi machinery, which promotes degradation of a target mRNA avoiding protein translation. SiRNAs are liver-targeted, using tris N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) as the targeting ligand. This discovery received the Nobel Prize for medicine and physiology in 2006 and lead to substantial therapeutic advances. Application field and development of these siRNA has been very fast. Indeed, patisiran has been released in 2018 for hereditary transthyre...

The injury-induced transcription factor SOX9 alters the expression of LBR, HMGA2, and HIPK3 in human kidney
Am J Physiol Renal Physiol. 2022 Dec 1. doi: 10.1152/ajprenal.00196.2022. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTInduction of SRY-box transcription factor 9 (SOX9) has been shown to occur in response to kidney injury in rodents, where SOX9-positive cells proliferate and regenerate the proximal tubules of injured kidneys. Additionally, SOX9-positive cells demonstrate a capacity to differentiate towards other nephron segments. Herein, we characterized the role of SOX9 in normal and injured human kidney. SOX9 expression was found to colocalize with a proportion of the so-called scattered tubular cells (STCs) in uninjured kidney, a cel...

NRBP1 modulates uric acid transporter ABCG2 expression by activating the Wnt/ β-catenin pathway in HK-2 cells
CONCLUSION: Taken together, our study demonstrated that NRBP1 inhibition played an essential role in attenuating hyperuricemia and gout by upregulation of ABCG2 via Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in HK-2 cells.PMID:36437206 | DOI:10.1016/j.nefroe.2022.11.015
